We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied Ph.D. program in Generative Artificial Intelligence for sensor data simulation and scene continuation to support development and evaluation of closed-loop end-to-end automated driving. Mitigating the difficulty of collecting rare driving scenes and safety risks of testing real world scenarios are main motivations for this work. The focus is on simulating multimodal sensor data and their continuation for closed-loop driving scenarios, together with the aspects of minimizing the realism gap and validating the results by structural similarity.
