Philantrophy Associate
Fulltime - 40 hrs Week
with Full Benefits Package

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build annual giving and tribute giving from a variety of community audiences (i.e., Masonicare Home Health patients, hospice bereaved family members, grateful patients and families, next of kin of Masonicare residents, Masonicare employees, community organizations, corporations and businesses) through personal solicitation, direct mail, and other potential avenues of fundraising.
  • Responsible for supporting the planning, execution, as well as the fundraising and participation goals for various special events. Assist the Director of Philanthropy in coordinating and fundraising for the Masonicare Golf and Pickleball Classic, the Wine, Beer, and Bourbon Tasting, and other social events.
  • Conduct public presentations to secure charitable contributions for the Foundation, including presentations at Masonicare affiliate departments and branch meetings as well as community organizations as assigned.
  • Oversee and coordinate fundraising committees as assigned. Recruit and engage new committee member volunteers to help solicit sponsorships, ticket sales, program advertisements, and raffle prizes.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including facility, food and beverage arrangements; securing entertainment; securing permits and contracts; recruiting, training and managing event volunteers; tracking event registrations; gathering advertisement copy and logos from corporate sponsors; and coordinating on-site decorating and sponsor displays. Work directly with all appropriate staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure all projects are completed accurately, within budget, and on time.
  • Create sponsorship proposals and solicit sponsors as assigned by the Director of Philanthropy. Personally solicit corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, event registrations, program advertisements, raffle prizes, and auction items for MCF special events.
  • Coordinate direct mail campaigns, including annual appeals as assigned. Work with MCF staff and vendors to ensure timeliness of these mailings.
  • Manage a group of assigned community prospects for annual gifts in support of The Masonic Charity Foundation’s Annual Appeal. Makes donor visits with the purpose of cultivation and solicitation for the Annual Appeal. Create contact reports for donor files.
  • Coordinate donor recognition activities, including receptions, dedications, ribbon-cutting ceremonies; as well as the distribution of donor premiums.
  • Prepare event committee meeting materials and take meeting minutes for the Golf Committee, Wine, Beer and Bourbon Tasting, and other as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: A minimum of two to four years of professional fundraising experience with proven record of success in cultivating and soliciting charitable gifts. Demonstrated ability to manage committees and volunteers. Strong public speaking skills are essential. #joinourteam
