With five locations across Canada and continuing to grow, we are seeking a Full-Time Photo and Video Sales Consultant for our Calgary location.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Photo and Video Sales
  • Knowledge in Video Equipment is a requirement
  • Proven familiarity with professional camcorders from Panasonic, Sony, JVC and Canon
  • Knowledge of DSLRs for video, camcorders, pro audio, sliders, video lighting and drones
  • Great familiarity with popular video workflows- post production
  • Competence with digital editing software (Avid, Matrox, Pinnacle, Final Cut Pro, Vegas, Premier, etc.)
  • Involvement with the video or film community is an asset
  • Photography experience is an asset
  • Previous sales background is an asset

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stay on top of product knowledge to provide best of class service
  • Ability to take over key accounts and provide technical advice and solutions selling
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to remain organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Formal video education or relevant experience
  • Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Provision of best in class service to customers
  • Meet sales targets through sales and sales related activities
  • Follow up with quotes, orders and posted invoices
  • Keep sales environment stocked, clean and tidy
  • Focus on various Vistek sales programs to enhance sales
  • Keep personally up to date on products through myVistek, seminars, web, magazines, discussions with colleagues, membership in associations etc.
  • Actively seeks methods to increase his/her client database.
  • Create optimal opportunities through:
  • Follow up on quotes
  • Follow up calls to previous customers
  • Keep environment organized, clean and tidy
  • Complete other duties, projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Provide support to other departments when needed
