Description:

Do you do PHP coding in the main, utilising the Laravel framework? Interested in being a PHP Developer on a brand new development squad for a scaling SaaS product company? (We are building the 3rd UK squad in the product Development team)
Would you like to work on developing software that is attempting to re-address the balance of global ethics, environmental impact & human rights, using technology to drive corporate change?
With an emphasis on product driven, new feature & platform code development, you will want to use your PHP coding skills to help shape, define & code new product features on top of an already existing SaaS platform base.
We have a healthy global product & development team of ~45, with 20 of those in the UK. Now looking for a further “mid” level experienced PHP coder to join a squad; to work with the Senior Developer & generally chew through the feature development roadmap!
Title: Software Engineer (PHP / Laravel / Backend)
Location: London office (Waterloo area) but largely irrelevant, as we have a remote first culture. Can use the office as / when you wish though! Rest assured though, you can be based anywhere in the UK to be considered.
Salary: ~£60K basic (£55K to £65K, depending on experience) + Benefits package (25 days holiday, private health, pension, etc)

In the main, you should be experienced with the following:

  • Experience of working in an Agile product delivery framework
  • Experience with PHP 8+ and the Laravel framework
  • Experience with Linux, NGINX (or Apache), MySQL server. LEMP / LAMP stack.
  • Experience of writing unit tests with test frameworks (PHPUnit, Codeception, etc.) Although we have a dedicated QA Test team, too.
  • Experience with version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab)

Desirable skills that you will also get involved in (but are not required to be considered!):

  • Microservices
  • API creation
  • AWS Experience (e.g SNS, SQS, Lambda, Api Gateway)
  • NoSQL databases
  • Javascript, utilising the Vue 3 framework, in particular.

If all the above sounds like you, or has at least piqued your interest, please do get in touch, hit apply or message me to find out more.
Hope to hear from you soon
