Description:

Are you a proven PHP Software Developer looking to build upon your experience?
Want to join a friendly, supportive and award-winning business where you will be able to enjoy a work/life balance?
If so, then we have an unmissable opportunity for you.

ABOUT US:

We are a multi-award-winning business energy consultancy working with the UK’s leading energy suppliers to help businesses save money on their utilities and reduce their environmental impact. Since 2019, we’ve welcomed over 140 employees, and we’re eager to add passionate talent like you to our growing team. We currently have 2 sites, with our Headquarters being located in Jarrow, and our Leicester site launched in April 2024.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

You know the saying “if you want something done properly, do it yourself?” Well, that’s the direction we’ve taken with our software. We’ve invested significantly in creating our own internal platforms to manage, analyse and integrate the data we need for the business to run smoothly.
Our Software Development team will continue to be a key factor in our innovation and growth. As Senior Developer you’ll maintain and improve our current platforms, adding features and functionality to drive business performance; you will also be involved in development projects to push our efficiencies to the next level.
Enjoy sharing your techie genius? Great! You’ll also coach our junior team members as they progress with us.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Use up-to-date web technology knowledge (such as HTML, CSS, JS and jQuery) to create and maintain high-performing PHP-based web applications,
  • Craft code that is well-documented, efficient, and leads industry standards,
  • Translate technical requirements into functional solutions that enhance business capabilities,
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to resolve defects and ensure software reliability across our application stack, and
  • Ensuring our software integrates smoothly with third-party APIs.
This a hybrid role, so your time will be split between our Leicester office and your home. You’ll work Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, and Friday 9:00am-3:00pm. No evenings, no weekends, and an early finish every Friday – how good is that?
