JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Physical Therapy Assistant delivers physical therapy services according to the plan of care described by a Physical Therapist and ordered by a provider licensed in the State of Alaska. The Physical Therapist Assistant functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist responsible for a specific client’s care. The Physical Therapist Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing physical therapy treatment procedures, case management and carries out discharge plans as specified by the treatment plan established by a Physical Therapist and in accordance with established facility/agency policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality client care. The Physical Therapist Assistant works with the client and family in the home setting without direct supervision as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Upon hire: Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year Clinical experience practicing as a Physical Therapist Assistant
