Description:

The Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is comprised of over 700 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Our network of physicians and specialists work together to provide a distinctive and effective model of coordinated care for maintaining the health and wellness of our patients.
Position Duties: This position provides internal medicine care to adult patients who are hospitalized. Perform rounds on assigned patients on hospital floors. Perform rounds on assigned patients from the overnight shift and assigned patients transferring from the ICU to the regular hospital floors. Discharge patients who are medically ready to leave the hospital and provide discharged patients with a summary of their diagnosis, medications, and plan of care for after their hospital stay. Perform multidisciplinary rounds every weekday morning with floor nurses, case manager, physical therapists and pharmacist to provide a plan of care for patients. Order necessary labs and prescribe necessary medications for all assigned patients. Request consults from specialist physicians to ensure complete patient care is provided. Work closely with case managers to assess patient needs for successful discharge and avoid readmissions. Admit assigned patients for hospital stays.
Position Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Must have 36 months of training in a residency in internal medicine. The position is required to work in assigned shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays. The shifts may vary from week to week to equate to 40 hours per week averaged over time. Must be board certified in internal medicine or eligible to sit for internal medicine board. Must have valid Hawaii medical license or eligibility.

Rate of Pay : $312,000.00 - $347,900.00 per year
