Description:
The Physician Practice Administrator serves as an effective liaison between physicians and hospital administration. The position provides administrative oversight to all the physician clinics within the Upson Healthcare System. The position prepares and manages medical group budgets by location/practice to achieve financial goals. The Physician Practice Administrator collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics, and responds appropriately to inquiries from hospital administration. Facilitates medical group work force planning including, but not limited to, negotiation and management of provider employment agreements. Effectively communicates with the individual practice managers and assists to effectively drive performance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field and experience managing multi-physician practices and/or experience in Healthcare Patient Financial Services. Prefer five (5) or more years experience in an Administrative role of a multi-specialty physician practice environment. Prefer experience in hospital based physician clinics and physician recruitment.
