The physician recruiter position is under Calian’s Primacy Division. The role is remote; however, preference will be given to candidates who reside in the GTA area.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Recruiter is responsible for the successful recruitment of physicians to new, vacant and existing Medical Clinic sites.The Recruiter will work together withPrimacy senior management and key stakeholders to understand market requirements, develop and implement strategies, qualify candidates and negotiate agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary Education preferred in Human Resources, Business, related field or equivalent.
  • Two years of demonstrated success as a health care recruiter. Candidates with demonstrated business/sales background may be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation, policies, and programs relevant to the healthcare industry within Canada and the Provinces.
  • Excellent communication skills including negotiation skills; must be persistent and persuasive.
  • Experience and skill using Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Must be able to establish rapport and effective working relationships with physicians and clinic administrators.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to develop alternative solutions to problems; comparing and analyzing data; preparing clear, concise, thorough, meaningful, and grammatically correct written reports, letters, memoranda, and other documents.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks.
  • Very strong customer service orientation, positive attitude, highly self-motivated, directed and change oriented.
  • Travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and sources targeted physicians using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods. Reviews LOI and Physician information, phone screens lead physician to determine quality and fit with the organization. Present physicians with Primacy opportunity with detail and clarity, providing information about the organization, facility management, leaseholds, and partnerships.
  • Creates comprehensive Clinic offering for each opportunity and posts on company website(s).
  • Manages new physician relationship until hand-off to the Operations Team, while maintaining relationship for future opportunities.
  • Researches and attends job fairs, conferences, and other physician recruitment opportunities. Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources on which to post physician opportunities. Develops relationships with residency programs. Assists with the development of promotional materials, such as banners and posters to be used at recruitment events.
  • Maintains a candidate tracking database reflecting positions open, interviews scheduled, conversations had, Proposals completed and approved, agreements sent for signature and agreements signed. Follows up with all candidates in a timely manner.
  • Tracks and verifies all funds spent on external recruitment resources; including job postings, ad placements, event fees and travel costs. Analyzes effectiveness of advertising and resources used.
  • Enter and maintain recruitment Lead data in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Stays current on regional and national physician hiring trends and practices; researches competitor’s activities to keep informed of changes impacting Primacy’s ability to recruit and retain top physician talent.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for improving his/her own performance and the manner in which his/her job is carried out as well as contributing to group improvement initiatives.
  • Attend professional meetings and conferences to increase Primacy presence within the healthcare industry. Continually build relationships through industry contacts, association memberships, internet sources, and other healthcare groups in order to leverage those connections to build a relevant network.
  • Utilize internal resources to share costs and information.
