Job Description
Here at Portsmouth Hospital’s therapy department, we are looking for our next Band 6 Physiotherapist to invest in. We want to help nurture and support the growth of your clinical career within our acute inpatient rotation here at QAH. You will rotate every 9 months across critical care, paediatrics, surgery, medicine, acute stroke and urgent care, giving you the opportunity to manage a varied caseload and hone your clinical skills and decision making in these key specialities. In return, we will be able to offer robust in-service training alongside clinical experts, peers and therapy specific practice educators, including an on-call training programme led by respiratory specialists in our simulation suite.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Health Care Professions Council Registration
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- 18 months – 2 years post qualification experience
Responsibilities:
- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in specialist area.
- To work as an accountable and autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for own caseload.
- To work in conjunction with the Pathway and Team leads in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service within the speciality on a day to day basis.
- To take a role in the provision of support and clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and undergraduate students.
- To deputise for the Team leaders as required.
- To keep accurate records of patient contact using written records and electronic data capture.
- To contribute to out of hours working as required.
- To maintain own competency to practise.
All teams provide an essential 7-day service on a rota basis and you will be a part of the vital respiratory out of hours on-call rota.
