EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND / TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology/Biochemistry, Chemistry
  • 1-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment. Fresh grads with relevant internship experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of different fragrance encapsulation technologies – Core-shell technology, Matrix, Complex Coacervation
  • Good grasp on the different chemical analytical techniques to characterise emulsions and powders (Rheology, Particle Size Distribution, Moisture Content, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of environment, health and safety practices at all levels (lab, pilot plant, production)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical synthesis at both lab (< 1 litre scale) and pilot scale (30 litres)
  • Operate a pilot plant spray-dyer and understand underlying functions of spray-dryer parameters
  • Supervise the industrialisation pilot trials at the production level (Close collaboration with the operations team)
  • Support Operations on existing production technologies and provide continuous improvement ideas with the production team.
  • Participate in the daily laboratory & pilot plant management, stock monitoring, maintain lab and pilot plant equipment in good condition
