ATLANTIC ROAD CONSTRUCTION & PAVING – PIPE FOREMAN

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are looking to hire an experienced Pipe Foreman to join our growing team for the upcoming 2024 season. We have lots of exciting projects on the go and coming up soon in the HRM area! Reporting to the Superintendent and Project Management Team, this position is responsible for directing and managing all on-site construction workers and equipment, enforcing the company’s directions, policies, procedures, and safety standards, while meeting construction deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a construction setting.
  • 3-5 years of pipe experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with own reliable transportation to get to and from worksites.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Able to work in a team setting and provide guidance to your crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct people, equipment, and resources on ARCP construction sites.
  • Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers and report any issues which could affect the project plan.
  • Plan pipe work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Guiding heavy equipment operators around different sites and trenches.
  • Read and interpret project plan and specifications.
  • Monitor and manage employee attendance.
  • Monitor the behaviours, attitudes, and actions of their crew member to ensure they do not impact the safety of themselves or their co-workers.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained. This includes cleaning and greasing as required.
