Responsibilities:
As a Pipe Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Working on competitive bids and proposals for flexible pipe projects, which involves analyzing technical specifications and developing cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements.
- Uses sound engineering practice to develop pipe systems design to customer specification.
- Provides technical support throughout all stages of project tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal.
- Performs engineering calculation, using company software tools and design guidelines, to develop and verify design of pipe structure and associated ancillary items. Leads Working on analytical and system design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
- Facilitates engineering output from other departments and sub-suppliers as required to develop quality output.
- Driving technical solutions and inputs to risk mitigation.
- Communicates aspects of the technical proposal to internal and external stakeholders, acting as company representative
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to create winning proposals that showcase the company’s expertise and capabilities.
- Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, which allows for continuous learning and professional development in the dynamic oil and gas sector.
- Contributing to the growth and success of the company by winning new business opportunities and expanding the portfolio of flexible pipe projects in the market.
- Participates in, and contributes to, improvement of process and tools, including product development and cost-out
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have relevant technical qualifications from an accredited university or college.
- Have demonstrable experience in other Engineering/Technology role.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
- Be a Team Player contributing to the close engineering team dynamic.
- Be an active solution seeker, owns tasks and drives solutions with pro-active approach.
- Can influence others and manage output. and lead small teams.
- Can coordinate several projects simultaneously, effectively managing time, output, and risk.
- Have effective problem identification and solution skills
