Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Forepersons for pre-turnaround scope in Upgrading at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Pipefitter Foreperon Base Rate is $58.71/hr.This position is a temporary position starting March 5th for approximately 15-18 weeks working a 10/4 shift 10 hours per day and then moving into a 6/1 shift rotation working 12 hours per day during active turnaround. Overtime is paid at time and a half for anytime worked over 8 hours a day and/or over 40 hour a week. There is both day shift and night shift positions.There is a $3.00/hr premium for night shift.This is a camp position with flights out of Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs. There is travel allowance provided for out of province employees during the active turnaround.

As a Pipefitter Foreperson responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Assist with planning and organizing the day-to-day completion of projects to support production plans.
  • Supervise and organize tasks assigned to employees and oversee work performed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Supervisory or Leadership Experience
  • Pipefitter Journeyperson Ticket
  • Safety Conscious Attitude
  • Common Safety Orientation or Basic Safety Orientation or Construction Safety Training Systems 09 Certification
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space
  • Basic Rigging
  • Valid Government Photo ID

Responsibilities:
