Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pipeline Engineer - All Sheets to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of pipeline systems across all phases of development and operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline engineering, with expertise in various aspects of pipeline design, including routing, sizing, material selection, stress analysis, and alignment sheets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in pipeline engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and construction of oil and gas pipelines.
- Proficiency in pipeline design software such as AutoPIPE, Caesar II, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 1104, and API 5L.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) for route selection and spatial analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop conceptual and detailed designs for pipeline systems, considering project objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and route selection assessments to determine the optimal alignment for pipeline projects, considering factors such as terrain, environmental impact, and stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, and other documentation to support pipeline routing and construction activities.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and sizing analyses to ensure that pipelines meet flow rate and pressure requirements while minimizing energy consumption and operating costs.
- Conduct stress analysis and integrity assessments to evaluate the structural integrity of pipelines under various operating conditions, including temperature fluctuations, pressure surges, and external loads.
- Select appropriate materials and coatings for pipeline construction, considering factors such as corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and obtain necessary permits and approvals for pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and land use regulations.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operation of pipeline systems, resolving design issues and optimizing performance as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in lessons learned reviews to enhance the efficiency and reliability of pipeline engineering processes.
