Description:

We are seeking a Piping Engineer with similar values, who can put his or her expertise to work on the New Chemical Project Construction site in PCS, Ayer Merbau, Jurong Island. This professional will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once and serving as the representative at each worksite in dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors. He or she will be expected to ensure compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis. With each project, this individual is counted on to drive the innovation for which we are known.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing new construction and remodeling projects.
- Knowledge of ASME and Piping codes related.
- Experience in using CAD software, simulation, and calculation software.
- Knowledge of Singapore safety regulations and regular practices required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent or solid working knowledge of Japanese (To keep excellent communication with the Japanese clients).
- Working knowledge of green building practices.
- Project management experience with emphasis on direct supervision.

Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
- Manage and oversee work sites for both new construction and refurbished plant projects, coordinating site activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives.
- Design and manage the project with an eye on safety, scheduling and budget.
- Review and coordinate sub-contractor’s design with HQ engineers.
- Liaise between HQ engineers and others working on the project.
- To coordinate and supervise the Piping work, Mechanical Equipment Installation work, Insulation work, and Painting work, including coordination with Owner and the other work of CSB work, Plant Electrical work, Instrument work and etc.
- Adhere to legal regulations, applicable codes, and other requirements.
- Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare or modify piping isometric drawings, data sheets, material lists that are requested to manage at the site.
- Conduct Line check regularly and issue FIT for modification if required.
- Prepare material requisitions for purchase equipment and piping material. Bid analysis and selection of vendor/supplier as well.
- Collaborate with Clients, engineers, and other specialists, hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers, and coordinate their schedules.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout.
