Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Professional Level 5 (PL5) Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor of Science with 25 years of experience, or Master of Science with 23 years, or PhD with 20 years
- Active TS/SCI with CT poly
- Thorough understanding of RF theory, electro-optics, and/or signal processing.
- Vendor/Customer relations and negotiation skills/experience

Responsibilities:
- Analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions.
- Test hardware conformance to specifications.
- Perform analyses at all levels of system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Provide highly innovative solutions to unusually complex technical problems.
- Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development into a final product.
- Act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
- Contribute to the development of technical proposals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during proposal reviews.
