Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must (Access, an asset)
  • A passion for retail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Retail experience
  • Bilingual, both written and spoken (a third language is an asset)

Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Planner is creating merchandise planning budgets and assortment plans for a group of franchise regions. An AGI Planner must have a clear understanding of the fashion retail business, and a good knowledge of the Aldo Group and retail industry best practices. An AGI Planner clearly understands the franchisee’s business practices, and is able to adapt to the general characteristics of their assigned regions. An AGI planner plays a pivotal role in supporting the regions in collaboration with Buying, Sales and Operations, Development, Logistics and the franchisee. AGI planners typically are responsible for 5 to 8 regions and report to the Planning Manager.

  • Prepare and update sales budgets per store by region
  • Build and maintain seasonal merchandise budgets
  • Build and maintain seasonal assortment plans
  • Monitor the purchases against receipt plan
  • Participate in the regional in-season management, and provide sales and markdowns forecasts and its impact on inventory levels according to the AGI Franchise Support Level Strategy
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports to support strategic business decisions
