ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY | TE WHIWHINGA MAHI

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Planner to be based at Bridge Street, Eltham.
As a key member of the Bridge St Logistics Team, you will be supporting our Eltham Specialty cheese manufacturing plant with all planning and scheduling requirements.
The purpose of the Planner role is to achieve targeted casefill, manage inventory effectively and manage an effective supply plan. The key focus areas are production planning, working closely with S&OP, customer service, mid to long range planning, New Product Development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for meeting master schedule attainment targets while maximising operational efficiencies and customer service levels (DIFOT).
  • Optimising cheese vat planning in conjunction with plant management teams
  • Ensuring executable weekly production plans are signed off and submitted to production teams within agreed timeframes.
  • Identify short term (tactical) capacity gaps and provide risk mitigation plans, through the management of efficient sequencing and labour requirements.
  • Attend DMS forums and contribute Production Planning KPI visibility with root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Maintain and facilitate up to date daily and weekly plant schedules in a timely manner including production order creation and maintenance.
  • Support NPD projects and ensure risk assessments are completed and provided to core cross functional teams.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in production planning.
