ABOUT YOU

The City of Ballarat is seeking an experienced technical officer who has aspirations to develop their leadership skills. You will ideally have an understanding of a range of IT-based systems relevant to Statutory Planning. You will also bring a positive attitude and have a desire to coach and mentor more inexperienced officers. Whilst previous experience in a similar level position is desired, this is not essential. Candidates will be judged as much upon fit and attitude as their technical capabilities.

CONTACT

For any additional questions, please contact Connor Perrott, Manager Statutory Planning on 0419 108 257.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Statutory Planning, this role forms a key part of the Statutory Planning Team. The Planning Business Analyst will lead Planning Support Officers (PSOs) ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality and timely administrative services. This includes the continued development of existing, and/or the identification and implementation of alternate, application management systems, the upgrade of the work unit’s webpage (including the addition of new service components) and the delivery of enhanced customer service initiatives. As the key contact within Statutory Planning for these projects, the Planning Business Analyst will be a pivotal member of the team and work closely with the Council’s IT and Business Improvement teams.
The Planning Business Analyst will also be an active participant in team meetings and assist in guiding discussions together with Planning Coordinators and the Manager.
