Planning and Scheduling Lead
Arcadis DPS (ADPS) currently requires a and Planning & Scheduling Lead to join it’s Cork Operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintenance of planning & scheduling processes and procedures.
  • Developing and maintenance of earned value management processes and procedures.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to internal planning & scheduling team.
  • Overseeing large complex process projects.
  • Directing the planning project team and mentoring new hires and graduates.
  • Delivering across project design phases as well as construction and commissioning.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with Clients.
  • Establishing project objectives in line with the client and ensuring the goals & timelines are achieved.
  • Execution of projects via an established quality and management system.
  • Chair / Host Interactive Planning Sessions.
  • Critical Path development and analysis.
  • Establish project schedule resource requirements.
  • Provide performance updates / reports (views) for identification of variances and corrective actions.

Quality

  • Execute work in accordance with ADPS SOP’s, Work Instructions and Guidelines.
  • Execute work using ADPS standard templates tools.
  • Formally review work prepared by other Schedulers.
  • Ensure that all work prepared for issue is formally reviewed and approved by another Senior Scheduler or the PM prior to issue.
  • Support the Department Manager in ensuring team has the right mix to achieve technical and commercial objectives.
  • Support project teams.
  • Provide leadership to the discipline team on assigned projects.
  • Adhere and encourage compliance with the ADPS behavioural expectations and values.
  • Work with the team to manage the workload to ensure that all members of the team are treated with respect and supported in their work.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on performance.

Team

  • Ensure team members take responsibility for their activities.
  • Keep DM informed of team performance.
  • Support and mentor team members.
  • Foster interdisciplinary teamwork on projects.
  • Adhere and encourage compliance with the DPS behavioural expectations and values.
  • Work with the team to manage the workload to ensure that all members of the team are treated with respect and supported in their work.
  • Keep the DM informed of areas of concern with project resources or discipline demands.

Communications

  • Attend project meetings as required.
  • Attend department meetings as required.Effectively communicate with colleagues and teams.

Business Development / Client relationships

  • Actively Support business development activities on leads and opportunities.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and client presentations.
  • Build strong client relationships based on trust.

Resourcing

  • Review resourcing requirements with your manager on an ongoing basis to ensure the required personnel are allocated to the project being executed.
  • Work with project manager to avoid significant short term peaks in resourcing and where there are resourcing constraints.
  • Provide feedback to the DM on resourcing, deliverables and project constraints that may impact project delivery.

Safety

  • Ensure that Sites are not attended without prior Inductions, Safety Training and Certification.
  • Adhere to ADPS safety procedures while on Construction Sites.
  • Highlight any safety concerns to the Construction Management Team.

Training and Development

  • ADPS will support staff in joining any other relevant professional organisations
  • Additionally staff may discuss with their manager any other areas that they would like to develop in and identify training that could facilitate this.
  • Ensure that the staff are trained in client specific procedures and guidelines where identified on the project.Support department manager in identifying gaps and training needs.
