YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Project Director, the Planning Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the project is planned to maximise efficiency and minimise construction cost.
  • Leading a professional and effective planning team to high levels of performance in establishing and managing the project planning systems.
  • Contributing to establishing and maintaining processes for program and progress reporting, including dissemination of processes and standards
  • Preparing and controlling accurate and efficient program reporting (including schedule risk analysis)
  • Documenting agreed construction methodologies in accordance with the company’s procedures and particular client requirements
  • Actively contributing to the identification of, mitigation and response to project risks and opportunities
  • Contributing to establishing and maintaining standards and processes to ensure that program, progress and other scheduling data is maintained up to date in P6, including EV and cost and revenue cash flow requirements
  • Coordinating detailed monthly reviews of the project program with delivery teams and consolidating and compiling project program reports

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position managing complex, high value projects within civil construction industry (Tier 1 or Tier 2).
  • Strong systems focus and background in planning with experience in Primavera and/or Tilos software.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills and demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience.
  • Be confident managing multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

This role is based in North Sydney until the end of the year, with the expectation that the role location will move to Canberra at that time. You will have the option of Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) or an attractive relocation package that includes removalist costs.
