We are looking for an exceptional person to manage our Planning Team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage staff while still being involved at the coal face. Given the small team, the successful applicant will have the chance to oversee all facets of planning, from resource consent planning and engineering to RMA policy.
Responsibilities:
Due to an internal promotion we’re looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join our team.
The work is fast-paced, varied and challenging, requiring someone with a broad skill set. You need to be able to help advise on resource consents and RMA planning but you also need to be able to deliver it through to the end.
Key elements of this position will include:
- Leading resource consent processing, ensuring that all consents align with our District Plan, regional and national policy direction and current legislation,
- Leading plan changes and policy development to support growth and development in the district while protecting our environment and the unique characteristics,
- Leading engagement and partnership with mana whenua, internal and external partners, key stakeholders and the community,
- Management of the team including driving a positive team culture
This is a full time permanent position based at our Te Aroha office.
