As a pivotal member of our Technical Services team, the Planning and Performance Engineer will deliver expert technical insights into Heathrow’s extensive asset portfolio. This role is crucial for bridging our delivery and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication and integration of strategies that enhance our operational excellence.

  • Responsible for providing input to Asset Systems Strategies including the Asset Management Plan, and responsible for developing Asset intervention plans including method statements to support achievement of the long-term business plan and airport master plan.
  • Use safety data to continually improve asset standards and maintenance plans and identify efficiency opportunities. Ensure safety remains at the forefront.
  • Creation of maintenance strategies in a consistent format across Heathrow campus for all asset types, including risk.
  • Ensure technical requirements for new equipment and systems are adequately specified and reflected in Asset Standards and supply chain category strategies and are supported by life cycle analysis.
  • Working with engineering teams, operations delivery, data management team and asset managers to check that the correct data needed to drive strategic decisions is being collected by the operation to support effective business decisions.
  • A solid grasp of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks or proven experience in asset management.
  • Experience in developing asset strategies and plans, applying life cycle, condition, and reliability models to asset systems.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical documents and standards, and proficient in using Maximo or equivalent asset management software.
  • Exceptional networking abilities and a passion for advocating plans, engaging with operations to convey strategic objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively across various teams, including operations, solutions, technical, and leadership groups.
