QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance required
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred),with at least 5 years of managerial experience
  • Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, cash flow management, costing and financial planning
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the full scope of accounting processes for a branch or collection of branches.
  • Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure that local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are met.
  • Ensures that policy and procedures adhere to a system of internal controls, and serves as the lead for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.
  • Leads, develops, and coaches local accounting team.
  • Key role in the financial planning cycle - providing various inputs and performing reviews in the areas of revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital (following standard financial planning process flows).
