Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for the right person to join our Midlands based team as a Plant Fitter / Service Engineer.
The position will focus on the repair, install and assembly of general mechanical and electro-mechanical processing equipment for use in the recycling and water treatment industry. The ideal candidate must have a proven background in mechanical repair of pumps, bearings, vibrating screens, conveyors and other bulk solid handling equipment and a good knowledge of processing equipment to enable them to offer a high standard of service to their customers. The nature of the role will be highly unsupervised so will command a good eye for detail and the ability to show initiative. He/she must be good at dealing with customer and managing their expectations.
The chosen candidate will overtime, gain a huge amount of experience in various industries, allowing them to become an integral part of their team with the possibility of creating and managing a service team as they expand their business. Reporting directly to directors the position lends itself well to quick career progression along with great training opportunities. As well as attending customers sites, the successful candidate will work in their assembly workshop based in Langley Mill where they will carry out work such as general/light fabrication pump refurbishment and assembly duties.

The ideal candidate will be posses the following attributes:

• Plant/agricultural/recycling/construction machinery experience.
• Good mechanical, electrical diagnostic skills.
• Be able to suggest improvements to existing plants or processes.
• Professional attitude and a willingness to work hard.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic welding skills MMA-MIG.
• Willing to travel and work away from home if required.
