QUALIFIKATIONEN & ERFAHRUNGEN

  • Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium, idealerweise Elektrotechnik mit Schwerpunkt Energietechnik.
  • Zertifizierte Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit mit Erfahrung in der Umsetzung von Sicherheitsmaßnahmen.
  • Mindestens 5 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung im Bereich Arbeitssicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz.
  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung in einer Führungsfunktion.
  • Erfahrung als Auditor für ISO 45001 und ISO 14001
  • Fortgeschrittene Englischkenntnisse und Deutsch auf Muttersprachenniveau oder C1-Niveau
  • Gute MS Office Kenntnisse, vorzugsweise Erfahrung in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook und Project.

  • Completed technical studies, preferably in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Energy Technology.
  • Certified Safety Specialist with experience in implementing safety measures.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in occupational Safety and Health protection.
  • Several years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Experience as an auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and German at native or C1 level.
  • Good MS Office skills, preferably experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities:

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

You take over the management of the HSE department and are responsible for ensuring comprehensive and effective Health, Safety, and Environmental protection (HSE) at the plant. Your responsibilities include strategic and operational leadership of the HSE department, development and implementation of qualification and personnel development plans, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies, as well as continuous optimization of processes and management systems. Additionally, there is a focus on training and advising employees and managers on HSE topics, ensuring emergency preparedness, and complying with all relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of the HSE Department

  • Leadership with disciplinary and technical oversight across departmental areas.
  • Planning and implementation of personnel development and qualification measures.
  • Budget and resource planning.
  • Identification, implementation, and enforcement of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaison with regulatory authorities such as the Trade Supervisory Office (GAA OL), Employers’ Liability Insurance Association (BG RCI), etc.
  • Process optimization with a focus on digital solutions and continuous development and effectiveness monitoring.
  • Reporting to authorities, employers’ liability insurance associations, and the corporate entity.

Maintenance and enhancement of the company’s Health and Safety system

  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s occupational health and safety organization and the ISO 45001 management system.
  • Implementation and optimization of the ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 50001 energy management system.
  • Ensuring awareness of all relevant legal requirements and their implementation into corresponding internal regulations.
  • Selection and assurance of training for required roles (safety specialist and operations manager).
  • Execution and tracking of internal audits as lead auditor.
  • Coordination, training, and further education of safety officers and specialists within the area of responsibility.
  • Consultation and training of management, executives, and employees on occupational health and safety issues, incidents, risk assessment, and action planning.
  • Determination of occupational medical examinations based on risk assessments in collaboration with the company doctor.
  • Regular conduct of safety inspections and involvement in the determination of measures.

Plant Security and Emergency Procedures

  • Ensuring site security (processes and procedures including ISPS) and emergency resources.
  • Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of external security procedures and response to emergencies.

Fire Protection/Plant Fire Brigade

  • Ensuring the operational capability of the plant fire brigade and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Special Responsibilities

  • Electrical specialist.
  • Dangerous Goods Safety Specialist.
  • Instructor for FFZ drivers, crane operators, users, and authorized persons for PSAgA examination.
  • Monitoring and improvement of the digital system for training, incident recording, and action tracking.
