Description:

Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Plant Maintenance Engineer / Project Manager for a 1 year + assignment with a chemical manufacturing company in Pasadena, TX. This position will focus on Piping, Pumps, and Valve maintenance projects at the facility.
The successful candidate will be adept at driving a portfolio of piping and fixed equipment projects in various stages, from development to execution, with an eye for managing cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirements.
Under broad direction of a Sr. Project Manager and support from plant SME’s this individual will assist in the execution of the engineering design, procurement, construction and return to service on various maintenance capital projects in accordance with applicable specifications and standards in order to achieve project objectives.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Assures capital projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by managing the development, design and execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standards
  • Ensures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting and reporting of assigned projects
  • Assist in the development of accurate scopes of work and construction packages including documentation
  • Responsible for providing new/revised Process Safety Information to the appropriate departments
  • Analyzes and manages risks on projects
  • Assist in safety and constructability reviews
  • Creates requisitions for engineered items and development of spare parts list
  • Reports on cost (including forecasting) and schedule attainment
  • Communicates and resolves technical and commercial issues as related to project objectives
  • Ability to make presentations on the project being requested to various stakeholders.

Educational Requirements
H.S. Diploma with at least 10 years’ experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
5-10 years of experience managing small capital project in the 50k – 100k range.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of piping, pumps and valves used in a process environments.
Experience with MS Office products, P6, and AutoCad is needed.
