Our Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Plant Manager to join the Site Leadership Team of our Quality Bakers Nelson site. You will have responsibility for providing day-to-day operational leadership of the plant ensuring plant performance and enabling the production staff.

In order to achieve this, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage people, plant, and materials to ensure targeted efficiency levels are achieved across productivity, downtime, waste, quality and DIFOT
  • Optimise production plans and ensure all reporting requirements are provided in full
  • Oversee Quality requirements on site including GMP Audits and testing
  • Support H&S to ensure safety incidents are recorded, audits are completed and training & SOPs are actioned

About You
In order to make this role a success, we are looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who has a background in driving the capability of a manufacturing team preferably within the food manufacturing industry.

Specifically, some of the experiences and skillsets we are looking for include:

  • Prior experience in leading a site and enabling people to reach their potential
  • Manufacturing experience in the food industry
  • Proven knowledge of Quality Assurance and food safety systems
  • Qualification in Industrial Baking (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to deliver results through others with a mindset for efficiency and improvements
