SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
• Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
• OEM Experience (highly desirable)
• Exposure to SIS or ET (highly desirable)
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standard
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
• Current Licence

WesTrac is seeking a Field Service Plant Mechanic to join our team and support our New Machines Workshop in delivering, commissioning, and handing over New Machines. As a Field Service Plant Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our mining customers across NSW, ensuring a seamless delivery and handover process for all machines.
Reporting to the New Machines Branch Manager, this role will see you utilising your product knowledge and advanced diagnostic skills to offer high-end support to our customers with service and breakdown solutions.
As a Field Service Plant Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of CAT machinery in the mining industry. Your technical expertise, customer focus, and ability to coordinate and communicate effectively will contribute to the overall success of WesTrac and our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.
