Job Description
As a member of the Digital Data and Technology function at DBT, you’ll work on unique and exciting challenges within diverse and supportive teams. As our Platform Analyst, you will be part of a high performing team, you will be responsible for analysis and insight across our new DBT Platform and the business-critical digital services it hosts. You will play a key role in developing the DBT Platform undertaking options analysis, accessing feasibility and impacts of requested features and seeking out opportunity for platform improvements based on your analysis. You will build strong relationships with product teams and support them in making data-driven platform decisions. You will contribute to decision-making on how the DBT Platform is developed, identifying the right data sources, developing insights and interpreting the results leading to platform enhancements.
This role is available in seven UK locations and can only be worked from within the UK, not overseas. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting. DBT employees work in a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in the office on average. Changes to these working arrangements are available in certain circumstances but must be agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role and can only be discussed with successful candidates. Travel to your primary office location will not be paid for by DBT, but costs for travel to an office which is not your main location will be covered.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will need to have demonstrable skills and experience of:

  • Experience analysing data from different sources, including systems & user data to generate insights leading to platform improvements.
  • Proficient using analytical tools (i.e.Quicksight), Development Environments (i.e. JupyterLab, RStudio) and software languages (python, R) to combine, filter and generate insights
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships, familiarity with stakeholder management, analysis and responsibilities (e.g. stakeholder categories, Power/interest grid, RACI).
  • Experience leading the development of KPI’s, creating required governance and managing stakeholder through these processes.
  • Experience of using Business Analysis investigation and elicitation techniques to gather data. (e.g. interviews, workshops, scenarios, prototyping, user role analysis, quantitative approaches)
  • Familiarity with methods of defining platform level business processes encompassing enterprise, event and actor-task level process mapping.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

These are not necessary but would be ideal if you:

  • A collaborative team player who is keen to hone their ability and to communicate insights to a wide audience
  • Understanding of Digital Data and Technology professions and roles, ability to engage as required to ensure successful project deliveries.

Responsibilities:

Your key tasks as a Platform Analyst will involve:

  • Undertaking platform analysis, choosing the most appropriate methodology, developing insights which will inform the platform roadmap.
  • Leading the development of platform KPI’s working collaboratively with senior management, product and service owners.
  • Combining platform insight data sources to create a holistic picture of performance, reliability, and resilience.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify platform improvements and problem areas through analysis of data and user needs.
  • Working with product teams to understand the performance of digital services on the DBT Platform.
  • Communicating the outputs of platform analysis in a compelling and understandable way that is matched to the needs of the audience.
  • Development of dashboards and communication to key stakeholders, service owners, product owners and policy teams
