Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Were looking for senior and mid-level platform engineers, who are hands on and possess a deep understanding of the AWS/Azure ecosystem to join delivery teams working on some of the most exciting digital programmes within the education sector. The University has a clearly defined IT digital roadmap leading to 2024/2025. As an Cloud expert, you’ll work in small product teams alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to deliver automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure.
We encourage continuous learning, so as well as the opportunity to work with some of the brightest and best in the industry, and evaluate the latest technologies, well encourage online training for obtaining AWS/Azure certifications. Even if you dont meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply as we can develop you into the role using a training plan and career path.

For both roles, the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate they can:

  • Familiarity with collaboration tools i.e. Jira, Confluence, Service Now.
  • ITIL knowledge.
  • Hands on with any of Azure, AWS or GCP Services with architectural awareness.
  • Automation of cloud services
  • Scripting with one or more of the following: Powershell, Python.
  • SecOps or application security experience.
  • Good experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline
  • Code Repository Management (e.g. Gitlab, GitHub, Bitbucket
