ABOUT THE TEAM

Platform Engineering is a family of teams dedicated to crafting and maintaining tools for all Application and Service Developers at Stitch Fix. We focus on creating low friction tools and practices to maximize developer happiness. We believe happy developers write better code. We practice modern platform practices like Infrastructure-as-Code, Immutable Infrastructure, use of Containers, and leverage AWS as well as many other Cloud SaaS offerings.

ABOUT STITCH FIX

We’re changing the industry and bringing personal styling to every body. We believe in a service and a workplace where you can show up as your best, most authentic self. The Stitch Fix experience is not merely curated—it’s truly personalized to each client we style. We are changing the way people find what they love. We’re disrupting the future of retail with the precision of data science by combining it with human instinct to find pieces that fit our client’s unique style. This novel juxtaposition attracts a highly diverse group of talented people who are both thinkers and doers. This results in a simple, yet powerful offering to our customers and a successful, growing business serving millions of men, women and kids throughout the US. We believe we are only scratching the surface and are looking for incredible people like you to help us boldly create our future.

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for an experienced hands-on Platform Architect to play a pivotal role in designing, enhancing, and scaling our Developer, API, and Application platforms. As a member of the Platform Engineering leadership team, you will guide our team of principal and lead engineers to formulate the overall technical strategy for the organization. You will be called upon to de-risk the hardest technical challenges we face, provide architecture designs and guidance for our systems and make buy-vs-build decisions to meet business needs and serve our customers efficiently. You will work closely with internal customers across the organization, understanding their needs and translating them into robust architectural solutions. Your expertise will guide the evolution of our platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives.
