Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Care and Custody Engineer Officer, the Platform Support Team Engineer will support the Platform Support Team in order to deliver a robust support programme for the NZDF.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Perform Operational Level Maintenance (OLM) on ships as per the C&C CMS agreement and FMMS maintenance system.
Assist in managing higher-level maintenance activities, ensuring a safe work environment for contractors and familiarity with safety protocols.
Monitor personnel safety and asset integrity during working hours and on duty roster after hours.
Collaborate with PST Senior Engineers for the maintenance of all devices on RNZN Ships, taking ownership of and managing problems until resolution.
Independently implement proposed improvements, contribute positively within a team environment, coordinate activities with other divisions and external agencies, and uphold health and safety policies while actively promoting a safety culture.
