Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

Enthusiastic to learn all aspects of sustainability.
Relevant engineering/business bachelor’s degree, preferably with an environmental
Ability to interface with a variety of cross-functional team members and cultures.
Comfortable with Data management (i.e. Green House Gas Calculations)
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to read engineering prints and specifications.
English language proficiency is required.
Presentation and Communication skills
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
Strong skills to leverage the organization to achieve the sustainability goals.
Ability to speak English (R)

Responsibilities:

Engage with designated suppliers to obtain a completed pre-qualification checklist.
Engage the Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing and Finance functions to advance BWI product carbon footprint sustainability initiative.
Participate in the collection and processing of sustainability information from suppliers
Maintain a database summary of supplier sustainability responses.
Create and maintain a product carbon footprint database by part number for ease of future analysis.
Understand high level Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions so as to be able to properly process the data.
Assist in data gathering for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
Review our procedures and standards to ensure that activities are performed with high integrity and meet the BWI sustainability goals.
Follow the BWI mission, vision, and values to drive cultural change across the organization.
