PROJECT DESCRIPTION
About the Project - Building metrology equipment for precision measurements for optical systems. The project scope is commissioning the PLC automation software that will control the mechatronics of the metrology equipment. Our team - The team will be part of a larger team that is working for our client that is a leader in the Integrated Circuits Lithography domain Technologies used: PLC Siemens S7 1500, Simatic The PLC commissioning support engineer is responsible for setting up, checking the safety and good operation of the PLC system.
SKILLS
Must have
Knowledge and demonstrable experience in programming and commissioning of PLC systems, preferably on Siemens platforms. Good knowledge of programming languages like Ladder Logic, FBD and SCL.
Understanding of industrial network protocols and interfaces (OPC UA, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
Ability to solve problems independently and strong teamwork skills.
High level of commitment, sense of responsibility and willingness to undergo continuous further learning.
Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or a similar field, or comparable professional training with relevant experience
German Language C1, ideally C2

Responsibilities:
Support and troubleshooting of PLC software for complex industrial plants, mainly based on the Siemens platform (Siemens S7, TIA Portal).
Support for commissioning activities in the plant when new functions are released by the development team.
Follow up and responsibility for Software incidents and issues occurred in the plants, including: o Root cause analysis o Solution definition and validation in alignment with stakeholders o Implementation of the solution o Testing and release of solution
Collaborating with other developers and engineers to ensure automated processes in production environments.
Documenting the solutions and changes in the systems according to internal and external requirements.
