Band 5 - £33,407 to £39,581 pa (including Recruitment Bonus) + On call payments (potentially up to £6,000 per year)

We are looking for ambitious and dedicated Plumbers/Heating engineer to join our friendly and supportive in-house maintenance team on a full-time permanent role. One post will be based at Stamford Hospital and One post will be based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. You will also, be part of the 1 in 5 on-call rota which operates out of hours
As a multi skilled hands-on maintenance professional, you will deliver a full range of duties associated with your core craft trade. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of building heating, plumbing and ventilation systems and looking to utilise your experience in a challenging, but rewarding environment.
You will have good literacy skills and the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team. You must hold a relevant formal qualification and be conversant with the core regulations.
Previous NHS experience is not essential as a comprehensive training and mentoring programme will be provided.

Your duties will cover a range of maintenance work including planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, specialist testing, fault finding and repair of equipment and installation work.
You will diagnose faults, carry out repair and maintain the building engineering services, plant and equipment.
You will oversee others on fault-finding, repairs, maintenance and installation of complex plant, equipment and buildings belonging to the Trust.
You will be expected to participate in the on-call rota service for out of hour’s emergency calls.
You will carry out the work at the request of supervisor or, in the absence of supervisor, at the request of management and you will use your initiative to perform minor repairs or essential emergency work without being told provided it is safe to do so.
You will comply with operational, technical and health & safety standards and procedures.
