Description:

The Postgraduate Medical Education centres are currently recruiting for a Conference Services Assistant to work 30hrs per week. Shift patterns are 8am – 2.30pm or 10.30am - 5pm with occasional late evenings and weekends. The role requires cross site working between the two education centres based at City & QMC campuses.
Ideal candidates must be able to use their own initiative when working alone or part of a team and must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, show a flexible approach to work and be willing to work when required. We are looking for lively and enthusiastic individuals that have excellent interpersonal and communication skills who are well motivated and hardworking and able to work as part of our team. You will need to have a moderate amount of fitness as this role can be physically demanding and on your feet for most of your shift.
Training will be provided for successful candidates.
An essential role to ensure the smooth running of the Education Centres at NUH involving high levels of customer service, the ability to plan and set up appropriate facilities for users and ensure excellent organisation of conferences and events.
The role of the Postgraduate Medical Education Department Conference Assistant is to provide support for the day to day running of the NUH Postgraduate Medical Education Centres. This will encompass administrative and receptionist duties along with providing a ‘Meet & Greet’ service for all education and training events within our centres
The post-holder will also require the ability to prepare training rooms and AV/IT equipment prior to use and move equipment/furniture as necessary.
