Description:

Tradewind is looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant for a special school in North London. The role is full time starting ASAP with scope to continue into next academic year or become permanent.
The school:
A day school for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of severe learning difficulties including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The school’s goal is to enable each pupil to develop his or her full potential. A broad and balanced curriculum is provided that is differentiated to meet individual needs and which enables access to the National Curriculum

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:

  • Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis
  • Attend to pupils’ personal needs, including social health, hygiene, firstaid and welfare
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and SEN professionals
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
