Description:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years BA experience
  • Ability to coach team members and potentially lead other BA’s
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Experience in the IT industry preferred
  • Some project coordination and planning skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, confluence, and the Microsoft suite of products

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Ability to build relationships with sponsors (from any Stonex department)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • An ability to interpret business requirements
  • Strong organizational skills - able to plan, schedule, and run tight meetings

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

To own the process of taking business concepts (ideas) and formalizing them into full project proposals. The experienced BA will then support the PMO to take each proposal to the approval committee for review and sign-off.
Responsibilities:

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Own the process of driving a business idea through to a fully signed off project which is ready for execution
  • Build relationships with the business requestor and sponsor to understand the background to the request and the business need / priority for a project
  • Build a business case which includes project scope, deliverables, budget, risk, and priority, RACI
  • Hold technical reviews where necessary to define how the proposed project will be technically executed and get the buy-in of senior tech leads within Core IT
  • Submit the business case for review in front of the project approval committee
  • Control the transfer of key information and data from the business case to the project management system
  • Once approved, hold a project kick-off with the allocated PM and team
