Description:

Synechron is looking for an experienced PMO/ Engagement Lead to join a global financial institution based from their Sheffield office (x3 days a week). The role will report to the Head of CTO Change Portfolio Management and joins a fat paced, challenging and supportive team:

Role:

  • Partner with stakeholders, Project and Program Sponsors & Transformation Leads across all CTO Portfolios and collaborate with them on regular basis
  • Work as single point of contact with Central PMO function
  • Support the effective delivery of the portfolio outcomes, ensuring these are aligned to the organisational strategic requirements and priorities
  • Work with stakeholders to drive the delivery
  • Report on portfolio health back to the PMO Lead and Head of PMO Change Management
  • Identify risks and issues and report back to Central PMO
  • Ensure the Area’s programmes adhere to standards
  • Support Area’s annual planning activities, advise on best methods and perform health checks on resource supply and demand requirements
  • Ensure Area’s programmes are well interlocked with other programmes within Technology and are well understood and managed
  • Monitoring the Area’s Programmes/Portfolios/projects.
  • Previous PMO experience in Financial Services
  • Strong understanding of Portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and best practice techniques
  • Pro-active problem-solving skills with strong experience of negotiating, documenting and presenting recommendations to deliver shared outcomes
  • Able to work to under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills – Proven experience of exposure to Senior stakeholders is critical
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to engage and bring different teams together
  • Strong understanding and experience of financial planning processes including forecasting, management of variances and common project accounting principles (e.g. cash, directs and P&L accounting)
  • Experience of programme and project management methods (e.g. MSP,PMI, Prince2)
  • Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure products and platforms and fintech.
  • Strong/ in-depth reporting and neumaracy skills as data reported to CTO level
  • Ability to turn around ad-hoc requests into high level reports from senior management.
