Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in civil engineering or economic and administrative sciences with specialization, master’s, or doctoral studies in Project Management + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Current certification of PMP from PMI, or IPMA level C or B, or GAQM PPM or GAQM CPD or Prince2 Practitioner.
  • Specific experience of at least ten (10) years in management, direction, boss, programmer, project leader roles either in Construction or maintenance of Metro-type mass transit rail systems, having intervened in such capacity in at least two (2) Metro-type underground railway works projects, that together add up to at least ten (10) km of tunnels and at least eight (8) underground stations for Metros.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s, or doctoral studies in Project Management
  • 15 + years of experience

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the director of the PMO, he is responsible for all those activities related to the management of the project (schedule management – programming and control-, finance, cost management, expenditure management), also coordinating the rest of the management team.
  • Coordinating with client and construction contractor in developing and maintaining the project controls management Plan.
  • Leading and directing the PMO Project Controls team.
  • Managing change control, cost control and budgeting.
  • Managing information systems and processes.
  • Creating and owning the standards and processes which facilitate timely and accurate schedule analysis and reporting.
  • Developing scheduling review maturity by providing training and coaching.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies aligned with the overall goals of an underground railway metro project.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Implement risk management processes to minimize the impact of potential issues.
  • Implement change control processes to manage scope changes effectively.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes on the project timeline and budget.
  • Facilitate lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of project phases.
  • Implement improvements based on lessons learned to enhance future project management processes.
  • Utilize project management tools and technology to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and incorporate relevant technological advancements.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into project management processes where applicable.
  • Consider environmental and social impacts in decision-making.
