Job Description:
We have an opportunity for an PMO Project Manager to join our talented professional services team. The successful candidate will work with customers as a member of our engagement team to support the Project Management needs of a federal client focused on various IT related projects and initiatives. The candidate will also be assisting the Office of the CIO on strategic initiatives as well as various governance support activities in support of CPIC, TBM and FITARA. The candidate is to demonstrate ability to control schedule, resources, risks, and project funds with strong written and oral communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • In depth knowledge of the CPIC process, techniques and governing laws
  • Understand the Technology Business Model Framework and the Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA)
  • Experience reviewing, scoring and updating investment business cases
  • Knowledge of project management principles as promulgated by the PMI
  • PMP Certification
  • CBTME Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing day-to-day management of assigned projects that involve teams of data processing, information system, and management professionals
  • Assist in the implementation efforts of Technology Business Management (TBM) to support analytical needs for making decisions related to the IT portfolio
  • Develop and implement IT Governance processes across the agency, engagement with other divisions and offices
  • Develop/Review business cases and support project management documentation and client briefings associated with the CPIC process in satisfying OMB A-11 requirements
  • Assist in the development of high-impact presentations for senior client leaders
  • Manage the preparation and logistics of CPIC-related meetings
  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects
  • Supports members of assigned project teams
  • Duties may include managing, facilitating, and tracking activities within and across projects and programs; maintaining standards, processes, tools, and templates; and assisting project team members in performing tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Prepares and presents status on project schedule, project costs, project deliverables, project issues and risks, and issue resolution and risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with team and other project managers to achieve organizational goals
  • Provide guidance and mentor junior team members as needed
