Let’s talk about this role
This 12 month contract as Policy Administration Specialist you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service through ensuring the health of nib’s customer policies. This is done through effective, efficient and accurate processing of policyholder information.
You will initially provide administrative support to the team by effectively managing the workflow and key priorities of the business in an accurate and timely manner meeting KPI’s.
This role will see you transition into providing more technical support for complex policy and legislation enquiries and activities.

More specifically you will:

  • Communicate, both written and verbal, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including customers and other Health Insurers)
  • Ensure policy administration admin items are accurately fulfilled and any tasks that are required by the business are actioned
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer policy information exceptions, manual customer policy information, and other related functions including Transfer Certificate Requests, Failed joins online, broker joins and amendments and Failed correspondence fulfilment.
  • Accurately calculate Lifetime Health (LHC) refunds for members and provide detailed responses to members
  • Accurately and efficiently action complex member policy information exceptions. Including remediating compliance issues that affect member’s policies

You consider yourself a motivated self-starter with experience in a similar administration and/or data entry role. Your proven ability to multi-task in a high-pressured environment coupled with attention to detail and accuracy will ensure you are well placed for success in this role.

Furthermore, you will have:

  • Proven capability in setting and achieving goals
  • Efficient with computer systems
  • Willingness to learn about the nib Policy Administration processing procedures
  • Ability to break down the complex into understandable language for relevant stakeholders and members
  • Well-developed listening and communication skills
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers politely and courteously.
  • Positive attitude and approach to work, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of the private health insurance industry, is desirable
