Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the effective operation by ensuring advice for approval is clear
    and succinct to support decision making by DPE senior executives and

Ministers.

  • Liaise with staff to support co-ordination processes including for

Ministerial meetings, cabinet submissions, budget estimates processes and parliamentary notes.

  • Ensure advice provided is based on appropriate factual evidence and research, and a comprehensive understanding of the legislative and strategic policy framework.
  • Assist in managing requests for information including from senior executives, Ministers’ Offices, other parts of the agency, other government agencies and the public, and coordinate timely, informed and well-constructed responses.
  • Review advice including briefing notes, submissions, reports, meeting papers and Ministerial, Cabinet and Parliamentary correspondence to meet required quality and accuracy standards and tight timeframes.
  • Assist in identifying emerging issues, taking into account opportunities and risks, and help identify solutions to enable the timely resolution of business-critical issues.
  • Provide day to day project management support, including monitoring and reporting on current and emerging priorities, programs and initiatives.
