Description:

We’re 23,000 colleagues in more than 30 countries delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. Taking on tough energy challenges is our job. Right now, we’re facing an enormous task: supplying the world with the energy it needs, while lowering emissions.
We’re up for the challenge. Are you?

By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, inform and implement policy and regulatory work with a focus on natural gas in Spain, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Greece and potentially other Eastern-European countries.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of policies and regulations to ensure business compliance.
  • Communicate issues to the business and promote commercial opportunities based on regulatory insights.
  • Monitor, shape and influence future policies and regulations in line with Equinor business strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop strategies and maintain external stakeholder engagement for Natural Gas.
  • Represent the company, its business interests and policy positions in selected external associations and networks.
  • Drive co-creation of analysis across analytical units in Equinor, aiming to predict holistic market and policy forecast, including driving business impact analysis of proposed policies and regulations.
  • Interact daily with commercial leaders, traders, marketers and originators to advise on policy and regulations trends, their effect on market design, opportunities, and risks for natural gas.
  • Provide Equinor views on the policy and regulatory issues and potential regulatory developments affecting the energy and industrial landscape.

Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

  • 5-10 years of hands-on knowledge of natural gas regulations, including network codes, capacity mechanisms, transportation/transmission/distribution network functioning, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience of the energy related regulatory and policy landscape across Europe as well as experience with European and domestic policies and institutional processes are advantages.
  • Professional competence in written and verbal English, as well as fluency in at least one other European language.
  • An interest in European energy markets, the energy transition and the region’s decarbonisation ambitions.
  • An established external network in the European natural gas sector, its regulators and relevant industry associations is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business studies, economics, political science or another relevant subject.

Please attach copies of your diplomas, certificates and grades in English or a Scandinavian language. Applications submitted without necessary attachments will unfortunately not be evaluated. If you are in the process of completing a degree, please upload an official temporary transcript or other document describing subjects and grades completed to this point.
Candidates are expected to openly offer all relevant information about themselves during the recruitment process. All permanent and temporary hires will be screened against relevant sanctions lists to ensure compliance with sanctions law. Furthermore, background checks are performed on all final candidates.

At Equinor, we care about each other as much as our business. That’s why we offer:
