BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Baccalaureate or Diploma from an accredited institution majoring in health sciences or a related discipline;
- Certified as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or willing to obtain registration within 18 months; (successful candidates who are uncertified will be at 95% of Step 1 until registration is complete).
- Certified as a Health Care Professional in a field recognized by the board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT);
- Good knowledge of electrodiagnostic instrumentation and equipment;
- Knowledge of polysomnographic equipment and supplies;
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications;
- Sound knowledge of human anatomy, neuroanatomy, physiology and basic electronics;
- Eligible for Certification in CPR and/or First Aid;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Good problem solving skills.
