Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

A Polysomnographic Technologist / Sleep Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and the Administrative Director of Pulmonary & Sleep services to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology and can provide oversight of other sleep center staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • At least one year experience as a sleep technologist.

Preferred:

  • Qualification to obtain, or possession of the CCSH (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) preferred.

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7:00 pm 7:00 am
  • 3 days a week with occasional weekends
  • Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
  • Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation
  • Demonstrate computer skills appropriate for the position.

  • Respond to sleep patients procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate education utilizing sleep center specific protocols.
  • Adhere to sleep center policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain sleep study related equipment and inventory.
  • Review and evaluate sleep studies and provide appropriate feedback to staff.
  • Comply with professional standards of conduct.
  • Assist the medical director, clinical director and/or manager in all aspects of sleep center operations.
