Description:

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for enforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety of residents/guests in the pool area.

Skill Requirements:

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.
  • Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people. Must be energetic.
  • Accountable for one’s own work, decisions and safety of oneself and others.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Control sign in sheet and check badges of anyone entering the pool area.
  • Capable of enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner. Bring to management’s attention any violation of the pool’s rules and regulations inside the pool and pool area.
  • Assist in the safety of residents and guests utilizing the pool area.
  • Set up pool and pool area (umbrellas, furniture, etc.) prior to opening.
  • Maintain pool and pool area in an organized and sanitary manner (other than COVID-19 required sanitization and disinfecting).
  • Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.
  • Attend pool monitor meetings.
  • Close down pool and pool area (umbrellas, furniture, etc.) at time of closing.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as

necessary.

  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or painting, with corrective

lenses if needed.

  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of

communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and

capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.

  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and

moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.

Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
