Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Pool Attendant, you’ll be responsible for enforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety of residents/guests in the pool area.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of High School diploma. CPR Certification is desirable.
  • Experience and training in customer service is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an aquatic setting desirable.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.
  • Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people. Accountable for one’s own work, decisions and safety of oneself and safety of oneself and others.
  • Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or painting, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
  • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
    Compensation:
    $10 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Ensure the safety of residents and guests utilizing the pool area.
  • Move equipment to pool area prior to family swim commencing.
  • Ensure bathers are showering prior to entering pool.
  • Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to Manager.
  • Attend pool monitor meetings.
